BEGINNING OF SPRING

To start off the new season, I wanted to sport something comfortable, but still warm and put together for those lazy post- spring break days. Recently, I’ve been in love with the layering trend, and I added an over-sized chambray shirt on top of a rad Brandy tee. I went for high waisted black jeggings from American Eagle for added all around comfort, along with two tone gray socks and my fav Converse. To add some edge and finish off the look, I added a gold chain that I found while antiquing around town.

Paris Fashion Week: Our favorites

As we watch the countless visionaries humbly and often shyly take their bows in front of the many watching their artistic shows, we watch another successful fashion week draw to a close. Throughout the many shows 2 stood out the most by keeping it elegant yet exciting and for that we love them. Valentino showcased an amazing collection of styles ranging from geometric structured prints to lighter dreamy florals. Then enters Alexander McQueen with a whole new meaning of natural as the models walked on the grass covered ramp. With this backdrop came the obvious whites and lace that was not only aesthetically pleasing but cleansed the palette of those watching as it remained the calm in the center of a colorful hectic fashion week. These two shows reminded us of the art that is fashion and the fact that every aspect of the shows were thoughto out, made it even better. With this Paris leaves us yet again wishing to one day witness the masterpieces in person or at least breathe the same air as the legendary designers who have made the world their canvas. Au Revoir!

TRENDING NOW: WHITE

Monochromatic white has been hitting the runways this spring. Whether it’d due to the cooling effects, easy styling, or Miley’s “Wrecking Ball” ensemble, we can see the popularity this trend is taking.

#STYLE INSPIRATION: Camila Alves

Camilia killed it in this floor length #Dolce and Gabbana dress at the #GoldenGlobes. The black gown paired with Cartier accessories perfectly combines the right amounts of old and new Hollywood glam. This type of texture and color not only complements darker skin tones it looks fabulous on anyone and immediately adds a sense of sophistication. The length is understandably a little formal so  shorter, cheaper version of the dress is linked below.

Fun Finds:

GB sweater[FOREVER 21]- The black and white theme of the sweater allows it to be paired with more accessories, making it a muted but attention grabbing piece. The lack of regular colors extends its usage date and stays trendy for  much longer than the original.
